Nyimas Laula is Jakarta-born Indonesian photojournalist based in Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia. Her career in photojournalism started as she worked as an intern photographer at Reuters News Agency. Her works focuses on humanity and environmental issues across the country.
In mid 2015, she photographed Rohingya migration in Aceh, covered Muslim rituals during the holy month of Ramadan, and by the end of the year she documented the worst haze disaster in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan.
In 2016, she was awarded a scholarship from BURN Magazine to attend Magnum Photos Workshop with David Alan Harvey in Bangkok.
Her works have been published on Reuters, The New York Times, National Geographic, Time Magazine, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal.
Her works exhibited in Photoville in New York in 2017.
